Children and Young People Pathway
The Children and Young People Pathway is designed around the realities of family life. Assessment is delivered remotely so the child can be in a familiar environment, and we draw on multiple sources of information to build a clear clinical picture.
Who it is for
Children and young people aged six and over. Below this age, behaviour is too variable to support a reliable ADHD diagnosis.
What is included
- Detailed pre-assessment questionnaires for parents or carers.
- Where appropriate, input from school via standardised rating scales.
- A clinical interview involving the parent or carer and, depending on the child’s age and preference, the child themselves.
- Validated assessment tools chosen for age-appropriateness.
- A clear diagnostic outcome and a written report including educational and family recommendations.
Family-centred care
Our CYP clinicians bring decades of NHS and CAMHS experience. Assessments are calm, paced for the child, and structured to make sure parents and carers leave with practical next steps as well as a diagnosis.
Fee
The Child Assessment is £850. This includes the family interview, validated assessment tools, school input where appropriate, the diagnostic outcome, and the written report.
