Family-centred care and parent support
ADHD does not affect a child in isolation. It affects routines, sibling dynamics, and the energy a family has for each other. Our CYP pathway is built around this reality.
What family-centred care looks like for us
- Parents and carers are full partners from the first enquiry to the final report.
- Recommendations cover home as well as school, with practical, low-cost adjustments first.
- We share psychoeducation that the whole family can use, not just clinical jargon.
- We acknowledge that parenting a child with ADHD is demanding, and that asking for help is a strength.
Support for parents
Many parents find their own ADHD reflected in their child’s diagnosis. If that resonates, you can self-refer for adult assessment. Beyond clinical care, charities such as ADHD UK and the ADHD Foundation run parent groups and resources. Your child’s school may also offer parent support sessions through their SENCO.
Our team
Our CYP clinicians, prescribers, customer support, and safeguarding team work together to make sure your family feels held throughout the process.
