Will my GP be informed if I start ADHD medication?
Yes. If medication is initiated, we will notify your GP as part of standard clinical practice and patient safety requirements.
What we share
- Confirmation of your diagnosis.
- The medication started, dose, and titration plan.
- Recommended monitoring.
- Any allergies or interactions to be aware of.
Why this matters
Your GP needs visibility of your medications to provide safe care across all your health needs, particularly if you are unwell, pregnant, or starting another medication. Sharing prescribing information is universal practice across UK private and NHS care.
Your written report
Your full diagnostic report is shared with your GP only with your explicit consent. The medication notification is a separate, narrower clinical communication required for safe prescribing.
