Safeguarding at Lighthouse Pathways

Safeguarding is the active practice of protecting people from harm. At Lighthouse Pathways, it underpins every clinical interaction, particularly when we work with children and young people.

Our standards

We are a CQC-registered service held to the standards of the UK’s healthcare regulator. All clinicians complete safeguarding training appropriate to their role, with separate enhanced training for those working with children and young people.

Our Safeguarding Lead

Gwendolyn Tose is our Safeguarding Lead, responsible for ensuring that every patient feels protected and respected throughout their care, and for managing any concern that arises in line with national guidance and local authority procedures.

If a concern arises

If a clinician identifies a safeguarding concern during your care, they will follow national procedures. Where possible, we discuss any concern with you first. In situations where waiting could increase risk, we may need to act and inform you afterwards.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about your own care, your child’s care, or another patient, please contact our Customer Support team. Concerns are taken seriously and acted on quickly.
