What if I’m not diagnosed with ADHD?
Not receiving a diagnosis does not mean your difficulties are not real or valid. It means the pattern does not meet the criteria for ADHD on the evidence available.
Your clinician will explain the outcome, suggest alternative explanations, and outline next steps. Common alternatives or co-existing factors include anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, autism, learning differences, trauma-related responses, and life-stage stressors that mimic ADHD features.
Your written report still includes practical recommendations, signposting, and a clear rationale that you can take to your GP or another service.
