Who we assess: adults and children
Lighthouse Pathways assesses ADHD in two age groups. We work with adults aged eighteen and over, and with children and young people aged six and over.
For adults, the assessment focuses on long-standing patterns of attention, activity, and impulsivity, and on how those patterns affect work, relationships, finances, and self-image. Many adults seek assessment because something has shifted: a new role, a major life event, or a child’s diagnosis that prompted self-reflection.
For children and young people, we assess from age six because reliable diagnosis usually requires a stable picture of attention, activity, and impulsivity across more than one setting. Younger children develop rapidly, and assessing too early can produce uncertain results.
If you are looking for autism assessment, dyslexia assessment, or another neurodevelopmental service, we do not currently offer those. We will signpost trusted alternatives if helpful.
